Kiss, Marry, or Kill Kingston Clubs?

Today, we’re ending the debate on where the BEST place to go out in Kingston really is. Here is our opinion.

Kill: Stages

Honestly, it’s way too grimey and oftentimes too hit or miss. Half the time you’re dancing in someone’s spilled drink, and the other half you’re waiting for the DJ to play actually good music. Is it iconic? Sure. But if I’m putting on an outfit, waiting in line, and paying cover, I need a lot more consistency and a better atmosphere. Plus, sometimes the smoke machine is really just too much…

Kiss: Trin

We would say that it’s really good on certain nights (dollar beer nights 100%), but the line? Absolutely toxic. You’ll spend half the night waiting outside (or more…one time someone waited 3 hours to get into the club at 12am) just to squeeze into a packed floor where everyone seems to know everyone. Great for a fling, but not for a long-term committment. We’d go back and maybe date them, but we’re not catching feelings or considering a sustainable relationship.

Marry: Ale

The dependable one! Always good music, always a solid crowd, and you can usually get in without losing your will to live (or freezing to death outside during winter). It’s the type of place you can take your friends, your situationship, or honestly anyone and be able to trust that it’ll be a fun night. We say that Ale is the “green flag” of Kingston nightlife — fun, stable, and drama-free.

At the end of the day, all three have their moments. But if you’re looking for a reliable night out where you’ll actually remember the music and not just the chaos — you know who to put a ring on. Check out how other Queen’s students rank the three clubs below!

Until next time,

Chanelle, Sophie, and Jenn :)
